Wisconsin is Still a Relatively Hot Hiring Market for Lawyers at All Levels

Wisconsin isn't the first place many might think of when planning a job search.

But the state's legal job market is more stable than many and, while it is slower than it was, still offers opportunities for law students, reports the Wisconsin Bar Journal.

That is also good news for more seasoned practitioners, since entry-level job opportunities suggest that the legal employers in Wisconsin are hiring at all levels, the article notes.

"Hiring in Wisconsin has always been conservative and stable so if you are reading the blogs about the national scene with the big layoffs at prominent firms and stories about job offers rescinded, that’s not really reflective of what’s going on here,” Erin Binns tells the bar publication. She is assistant director for career planning at Marquette University Law School.
