Public relations duties at Guantanamo Bay will be handled for the next year by 20 members of the Army National Guard's public affairs detachment based in Wisconsin.

Commander Rick Morehouse said the group's goal is to show the world that prisoners are well-treated, the Capital Times reports. "The media of the world and families need to know what's going on right now, not what happened six or seven years ago," he said.

"The prisoners get three meals a day from the same kitchen that prepares food for the soldiers," Morehouse said. "Prisoners can take part in organized sports and have unimpeded religious observances."
