With March Madness in Full Swing, What’s Your Favorite Cinderella of the Courts Story?

Villanova, Western Kentucky, Davidson—three Cinderellas are still dancing at the Sweet Sixteen ball—for men’s college basketball, that is.

So tell us your favorite Cinderella of the Courts story, when a case with not much chance of success turned into a real winner. And what was the glass slipper that proved the case?

    Texaco/Pennzoil- On the facts and law, most experts/commentators believed Texaco had great defenses. Yet, at every stage, Texaco’s losses became worse.

    Glass slipper?
    As in basketball, there is something to be said about “home court advantage.”
    and
    The fight over the forum can be far more decisive than the supposed agreed to “governing law.”
