2023 ABA Techshow

One of the biggest and longest-running legal technology shows in the country, the ABA Techshow, is right around the corner. From March 1 to 4, thousands of lawyers, legal professionals and vendors will descend upon Chicago to talk about technology.

Whether it’s the neophyte looking to learn about the basics of Windows, Apple’s operating system or Microsoft Office or the seasoned veteran hoping to supercharge their practice with the latest, most advanced programs, the ABA Techshow offers something for everyone.

It’s also a way for people to exchange ideas—such as using technology to improve the access-to-justice gap in this country; whether legal ethics rules should be modified to allow for new types of law firm structures; and how cutting-edge technology, such as ChatGPT or the metaverse, could affect the practice of law.

Follow along with the ABA Journal’s coverage of the ABA Techshow 2023 here.

Mostly, it’s a chance to meet up, have fun and enjoy being part of a community of people who think that technology can be a force for positive change in the legal industry.

In this episode of the Legal Rebels Podcast, Gyi Tsakalakis, co-chair of the ABA Techshow 2023 planning board, talks to the ABA Journal’s Victor Li about what conferencegoers can expect from this year’s event.

Tsakalakis also provides tips on how attendees of all experience levels can best schedule their days to get the most out of the ABA Techshow 2023, as well as what major tech issues and programs the event will focus on.
