25 Tyler Cooper Lawyers Will Open New Hinckley Allen Office in Hartford, Conn.
As of next week, a venerable 100-lawyer New England law firm will be expanding its attorney roster by about 25 percent, as it adds 25 lawyers from a Connecticut counterpart to create a new office.
The 25 are leaving Tyler Cooper & Alcorn to establish a Hartford office for Hinckley Allen & Snyder, according to a press release issued today by the Hinckley firm. However, the group, which is led by former Tyler Cooper managing partner William Fish Jr. won’t literally be leaving their old office: the new Hinckley office is opening in Tyler Cooper’s former space in Hartford.
“Included in the group joining Hinckley Allen are all of Tyler Cooper’s financial services professionals and business services partners, as well as eight of its commercial litigation and employment law partners and the trusts and estates department,” the release states. “Also joining the firm will be a number of paralegals, secretaries and other administrative staff.”
The move apparently will split the Tyler Cooper firm, which currently lists 50 lawyers on its website, including Fish.
