7th Circuit's Wood and Sol. Gen'l Kagan on Obama's Short List, WaPo Says
There are two front-runners on President Barack Obama’s almost all-female short list of potential candidates to fill Justice David Souter’s soon-to-be-vacant seat on the U.S. Supreme Court, according to the Washington Post.
One is U.S. Solicitor General Elena Kagan, 49. The other is Judge Diane Wood, 58, of the Chicago-based 7th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals, the newspaper reports.
As discussed in yesterday’s ABAJournal.com coverage round-up, Obama reportedly interviewed Wood this week.
