Kentucky AG will release Breonna Taylor grand jury recordings

Kentucky Attorney General Daniel Cameron has said he will comply with a judge’s order to release a recording of grand jury proceedings in the shooting death of Breonna Taylor. Officers conducting a raid killed Taylor when her boyfriend opened fire, thinking the officers were intruders. On Sept. 23, grand jurors indicted former Louisville, Kentucky, police officer Brett Hankison on three counts of wanton endangerment for recklessly firing shots that endangered three people in an adjoining apartment. Two other officers were not charged. Cameron acknowledged Monday that he never asked grand jurors to consider homicide charges against the officers. He also said a grand juror who said he misrepresented the deliberations could speak publicly about their concerns. (The New York Times, Politico, the Washington Post)
