Bickel and Brewer part ways; their firm will now be known as Brewer
Bill Brewer and John Bickel have parted ways, resulting in the end of a 30-year era Monday at Bickel & Brewer.
Now known as Brewer, Attorneys & Counselors, the firm is moving to new offices in Dallas, the Texas Lawbook reports in an article reprinted in the Dallas Morning News.
Bickel, 66, retired from the firm last year and is senior counsel at Fish & Richardson.
Brewer, 63, said he has no plans to retire.
Neither wanted to discuss the specifics of what led to the breakup of their partnership, at a law firm that Brewer says is still in a growth mode.
“I will always appreciate the time we had together and the success we experienced during the past 30 years,” said Brewer. “We never really felt there was a dispute between us. We are good friends and godfather to each other’s children. We had lunch together just recently.”
