Professional courtesy was a fairly common theme in the more than 100 caption contest entries this month. Variations had our staff chuckling and groaning.

Here are our three picks this month. Now it’s your turn to tell us which one should run with the cartoon in an upcoming issue of the magazine.

“What do you mean ‘professional courtesy’? He was just an associate.”—submitted by Harold Rubenstein of Highland Park, New Jersey

“Bottom feeding is not what it used to be!”—submitted by Michael Flowers of Columbus, Ohio

“Now that’s what I call a ‘pro-bait’ lawyer! Delicious!”— submitted by Doug Tozzi of Decatur, Georgia

How to vote: Using our poll, select the caption you think best fits the scene depicted in the cartoon.

Voting period: Votes must be cast by 11:59 p.m. Sunday, July 27.

What’s the prize? Bragging rights. Plus, the winning caption and credit to the caption writer will appear in an upcoming issue of the ABA Journal.
