A Florida lawyer who touts his ability to speak with the dead has landed a $90,000-a-year job helping run the court clerk’s office in Brevard County.

Mark Anthony calls himself “the psychic lawyer” on his website. He says he got the chief deputy job in the clerk’s office because of his experience running law firms rather than his psychic abilities, WFTV.com reports. He said court clerk Mitch Needleman knew of his psychic work before giving him the job.

Anthony told the television station that he realized he had psychic abilities as a child. As an adult, he developed a side business helping people overcome grief by communicating with the dead.

“I communicate with spirits,” Anthony said. “I see them. I feel sensations.”
