Former New England Patriots star Aaron Hernandez is guilty of first-degree murder
After months at trial and 36 hours of deliberation, a Massachusetts jury on Wednesday found former New England Patriots star Aaron Hernandez guilty of first-degree murder in the fatal shooting of a man who was dating his fiancee’s sister.
The 25-year-old Hernandez now faces a mandatory sentence of life in prison in the Bristol County Superior Court case. The Associated Press, Boston,com, CNN and the New York Daily News have stories.
A second first-degree case involving two fatal shootings that allegedly were sparked by a spilled drink at a Boston nightclub is still pending against Hernandez.
