Law Grad-Turned-Cupcake Entrepreneur to Appear on ‘Food Feud’ Series
A 2009 New York Law School graduate who started a gourmet cupcake business on wheels has managed a marketing coup that tops his mentions in the ABA Journal and ABAJournal.com.
Lev Ekster’s Cupcake Stop business now sells its treats from two trucks in Manhattan, the city’s Limelight Marketplace and a shopping center in Montclair, N.J., where the cupcakes are baked, the New York Times reports. He will soon be getting some free publicity, courtesy of the Food Network.
Ekster will be feuding with another cupcake shop, this one located in Brooklyn, on the network’s new series “Food Feud,” the Times says. The episode runs this fall.
Ekster started his cupcake business after he learned he wouldn’t receive a job offer from the law firm where he had worked as a summer associate.
