The list of people whose phones may have been hacked by a British tabloid is growing.

The latest addition to the list is Michael Mansfield, a lawyer who represented the family of Princess Di’s boyfriend, Dodi Fayed, at the inquest into her death, according to the Associated Press and the Independent. The couple died in a 1997 car crash.

Mansfield said he received a letter from Scotland Yard about six months ago informing him his voice mails may have been hacked by the News of the World tabloid. The journalists may have been trying to uncover news about Diana, he said.

The Independent describes Mansfield as one of Britain’s leading lawyers.

The News of the World has announced it is shutting down after publishing a last edition on Sunday, CNN reports. News reports have claimed the tabloid hacked phones and paid police for information. Among those reportedly targeted for hacking were celebrities, royalty and a missing teen who was murdered.

The Daily Mail has more information on the unfolding scandal.
