Orrick DC Litigation Chief Forms New White-Collar Boutique with Robbins Russell Partner
The chief of the Washington, D.C., litigation practice group at Orrick Herrington & Sutcliffe has joined with a partner of Robbins, Russell, Englert, Orseck, Untereiner & Sauber to form a new white-collar defense boutique.
Headed by Gregory Poe, who is also a former assistant federal public defender, and Preston Burton, who represented Monica Lewinsky before joining Orrick, the new firm will be known as Poe & Burton, the Blog of Legal Times reported.
“I will miss working with my friends at Orrick, and I am grateful for the opportunities that I had there, but I have spent most of my career in boutiques,” said Burton in a written statement. “When Greg approached me about starting a firm together, I knew it was time to get back to the structure I enjoyed the most.”
