Lindsay Lohan reported to jail Sunday evening to begin serving a 30-day sentence for violating probation and was released less than five hours later.

Lohan was released early because of jail overcrowding, the Associated Press reports. Earlier press estimates said the actress would likely have to serve six days of her latest sentence for violating probation in drunk-driving and necklace-theft cases.

If Lohan doesn’t successfully complete 423 hours of community service at the county morgue, she risks serving an extra 270 days in jail, AP says.

Lohan reportedly told friends her time in jail was “scary,” TMZ reports.
