A North Hollywood woman has filed suit against her psychic reader, claiming the medium fraudulently took her $11,000 without lifting a curse on the plaintiff’s love life.

In addition to fraud, Klarissa Castro’s suit against Jennifer Williams and her Los Angeles company, Psychic Readings By Yana, alleges intentional and negligent infliction of emotional distress, the Los Angeles Daily News and CBS News reports.

Castro claims Williams informed her there was a curse on her love life, but that it could be lifted during a series of psychic sessions.

She also reportedly spent $5,020 to commission a painting by Williams that would help lift the curse and help Castro and her boyfriend grow closer. The suit alleges she was never given the painting and that there was no significant change in her relationship.
