Retired BigLaw CEO to Serve as New Law School Dean for University of Western Ontario
A former chairman and CEO of one of Canada’s biggest law firms says he had no idea when he retired at the beginning of the year that his next gig would be as a law school dean.
But Iain Scott, 59, says the unusual appointment will make use of a number of skills he exercised when in charge of the law firm, reports the Globe and Mail.
Janice Deakin, the university’s provost, said Western was looking for new “transformative” leadership to help the law school achieve a higher profile.
