A California attorney who focuses his practice on mediation wanted his office to be a peaceful place where warring couples and others enmeshed in disputes would be inclined to relax and start thinking about settlement.

So Dennis Cohen, of Settlement Works, set up shop on a 57-foot yacht he named Concordance, after spending four years renovating the 1965 Chris Craft Constellation to meet his needs, reports the Daily Breeze.

“People feel more comfortable here,” he tells the newspaper. “Being on a boat helps to break the ice, gives them something to talk about outside the conflict.”
