Texas Lawyers Get Cubicle Christmas Thumbs-Up for 'Calf Pen' Holiday Hodgepodge
Attorneys at a Texas law firm deserve recognition for maintaining relatively clean desks in a “holiday hodgepodge” that brightens up their daily labor, a local newspaper reports.
The nine desks in an area the lawyers refer to as the “calf pen” at Ross & Matthews in Ft. Worth are decorated not only for Christmas but for every holiday. And the decorations are simply left up year-round in an eclectic mix, explains the Star-Telegram.
A centerpiece of their efforts is a tree made out of aluminum cans and decorated with items including plastic Easter eggs, Mardi Gras beads and green clovers. A rainbow of garlands throughout the work area set off other decorations including a Halloween spider, a sombrero celebrating Cinco de Mayo and a photo of Bill Clinton (President’s Day).
When adding to the decor, says attorney Julie Kraatz, “If you spent $3, you spent too much.”
