Groups of lawyers from Weil and Orrick have moved to new law firms.

Edwin Woodsome Jr., formerly national chair of the litigation group at Orrick, is moving to Dechert, along with three other Orrick partners. They will establish a new Los Angeles office for Dechert, according to a press release. The Lawyer and the Philadelphia Business Journal have stories.

Four other Orrick litigators jumped to a different law firm—Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher, the Am Law Daily reports. The group is known for its representation of Wyeth in vaccine litigation.

Meanwhile, Carlyn McCaffrey, chair of the estate planning practice group at Weil, is moving to McDermott Will & Emery, along with six other Weil lawyers, according to a press release.
