A tiny monkey wearing a flowered dress and diapers created a stir in a Virginia courthouse yesterday when a woman took it out of her bra.

“I can’t understand why the deputy didn’t see her,” the unidentified woman tells the New Era-Progress, explaining that the marmoset was peeking out of her cleavage as she entered the Amherst County Courthouse.

Asked how the animal had gotten through security a deputy joked that it wasn’t armed.

The woman, who also keeps a garter snake, three Chihuahuas, a Pomeranian and a crocodile gecko as pets, explains that the monkey is still a baby and hence she couldn’t leave it at home.

She was in the building for a hearing at Juvenile and Domestic Relations court that apparently did not concern the animal.
