"Follow me, will I make it?" The author started posting in March 2012 with $3,500 in cash and $130,000 in debt, setting out to make it as a solo in Iowa. He posts updates every Tuesday and Thursday with his most recent practice milestones.
Author: "hangshingles" writes: "I graduated from a top 30 law school in 2011. did everything I was supposed to do in law school. I got involved in some activities, and studied hard. My grades were good, and my resumé looked fine, but I couldn’t find a legal job to save my life. Bad economy, too many lawyers, who knows! My plan: After working nonlegal jobs for six months, I decided to break out on my own and start my own law firm with only the bare essentials. I want to practice law! So here I go, watch me fail, or learn from my success, but either way follow along. I will be posting progress updates Tuesdays and Thursdays."
