A partner of Arent Fox has been indicted in connection with the unsolved 2006 slaying of a Northern Virginia lawyer.

The slain attorney, Robert Wone, 32, was a houseguest of the Arent Fox partner, Joseph Price, who has been indicted along with two other individuals for allegedly obstructing the investigation of Wone’s murder, reports the Blog of Legal Times. The other two individuals named in the Washington, D.C., superior court indictment are Victor Zaborsky, who is Price’s domestic partner, and Dylan Ward, their former roommate.

An affidavit filed with an arrest warrant last month, when Ward was charged with obstruction in Florida concerning Wone’s murder, says that Wone was “restrained, incapacitated, sexually assaulted, and stabbed” to death in the DuPont Circle townhome in which Price lived with Zaborsky.

The law blog provides links both to the indictment (PDF) and to the affidavit (PDF).

“At the time of his death, Wone had recently left Covington & Burling for (a) general counsel position at Radio Free Asia,” the BLT notes.

Price, who has been on administrative leave from Arent Fox since Oct. 31, has turned himself in and is expected to be arraigned later today, the article says.

Price’s profile at the law firm was active earlier today, but the Web page now states: “We apologize. The attorney you requested is no longer with Arent Fox LLP.”

Wone and Price had been friends since college. Although the three defendants reportedly have said they cooperated with police, authorities have contended that the murder scene was cleaned and altered.
