A former legal assistant at a West Virginia law firm who deposited payment checks to her own personal account pleaded guilty to mail fraud Thursday in federal court in Martinsburg.

Cassell & Prinz specializes in Social Security matters, and when government checks arrived to compensate the firm for successful cases Debra Moses, 47, took $300,000 in payments for herself, says a news release by the U.S. Attorney’s office for the Northern District of Virginia.
