After attorney David Burke Keeffe and his wife, Carol, were murdered at their Pennsylvania home in 2006, the DeSisti and Keeffe law firm, where Keeffe practiced with his father-in-law, offered a $10,000 reward for information leading to an arrest and conviction in their shotgun slayings.

Now it appears that the culprit may have been found: A cousin of Carol Keeffe, John DeSisti, 73, of New York has been arrested and charged with the two murders, according to WNEP-TV and the Towanda Daily Review.

Authorities investigating the Bradford County case said the couple, who were ambushed when they came home after an outing, were involved in a property dispute with DeSisti.

The articles don’t include any comment from DeSisti or his counsel.

Keeffe was the president of the Bradford County Bar Association.
