DLA Piper has snagged three more partners from Nixon Peabody, including two practice chairmen and one practice co-chairman.

Litigation chairman Frank Ryan, China and Asia chairman Henry Liu, and privacy and data protection practice co-chairman Nicholas Papastavros are making the move to DLA Piper, the National Law Journal reported in an article published in New York Lawyer (reg. req.).

This makes a total of seven Nixon Peabody partners in recent weeks to lateral over to DLA Piper, the National Law Journal said. Last month, American Lawyer’s 2007 “Dealmaker of the Year” Peter White moved to DLA Piper along with two other public finance partners. Mergers-and-acquisitions partner Charles Baker followed that group a few days later.

Richard Rochford told the National Law Journal that the departures are “bittersweet,” but says the overall affect of them on the 800-lawyer firm is minimal.
