Molester Seeks to Renew Law License, Admits to More Victims

A former Stamford, Conn., lawyer pleaded for his law license to be renewed.
But under questioning from members of the state's Standing Committee on Admission, Jonathan Rapoport, 54, acknowledged that in addition to the children he was convicted of molesting in the 1990s, there are three to four other victims, the Connecticut Post reports.
Rapoport told the admissions panel on Monday, "I wish to return to the only profession I have known, I ask you to conclude I am fit to do so."
In 2001, Rapoport pleaded guilty to three counts of risk of injury to a minor. He was sentenced to 30 years, suspended after three years of prison time. He's currently serving 35 years of probation and registered as a sex offender, the Post reports.
