The Winning Speech!
We let ABA Journal readers vote on three finalists for the five-word speech that assistant managing editor Molly McDonough would deliver at the Webby Awards ceremony, which was held Tuesday at the Cipriani Wall Street in New York City.
It was a close vote, but this was the winner:
“Had we lost, we’d sue.”
That speech beat out “Shakespeare was wrong – lawyers live!” and “We don’t plan to appeal.”
Stephen Colbert grabbed Webby Person of the Year honors at the event. His five-word speech? “Me, me, me, me, me.”
