Arizona lawyer turns himself in after parking lot shooting

An Arizona lawyer has been arrested after a shooting in a Tempe parking lot left another man in serious condition.

Police arrested criminal defense lawyer Joe Palmisano, 48, on Thursday, report the Arizona Republic and MyFoxPhoenix. He faces charges of attempted murder, aggravated assault and kidnapping.

The injured man, Ryan Hall, was reported in serious condition Thursday afternoon after undergoing surgery. Police say Hall is the ex-boyfriend of Palmisano’s secretary, and Palmisano is in a relationship with the employee, the stories say.

Palmisano called police from his law office to turn himself in and cooperated with detectives, according to Sgt. Mike Pooley.
