Debra Cassens Weiss, a senior writer for the web, joined the ABA Journal staff in 1986. She was previously the managing editor, an assistant managing editor and news editor. She had worked as a news researcher for WMAQ-TV in Chicago, as a reporter and editor at the City News Bureau of Chicago, and as a newscaster at WMRO and WAUR radio (Aurora, Ill.). Weiss has a JD from DePaul University College of Law and a BA in English from the University of Illinois.
