A six-lawyer group has leaped from Edwards Wildman to Cozen O’Connor, where they will open a West Palm Beach office for their new firm.

The group, headed by D. Scott Elliott and Michael Botos, is part of an ongoing expansion plan in South Florida, according to a Cozen O’Connor press release and a written statement provided to the ABA Journal.

“Their strengths in real estate, estate planning and corporate insurance are an excellent complement to our existing litigation practice areas,” says Richard Dunn, who serves as managing partner of the Miami office, in the release. “We are thrilled to bring them on board, and to augment our Florida presence.”

The Miami office is the only other one in Florida for the 575-attorney firm, which is based in Philadelphia and is particularly known for its insurance coverage work. It has more than 20 offices in the U.S., London and Canada.
