Seeking to implement a game plan reminiscent of the one that helped catapult Barack Obama into the White House, former vice-presidential candidate and Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin has retained Washington, D.C., attorney Robert Barnett to help her market a book deal that could net a seven-figure advance.

Barnett is the same attorney used by Obama to market his own book deal, thus obtaining some of the money he used to fund early presidential campaign efforts, reports the Capital Comment blog of the Washingtonian magazine.

In addition to helping Palin sell her own story, Barnett may also try to sell a book by Bristol Palin. The teenager has been in the news because of her pregnancy while her mother was on the Republican ticket last year.
