Morgan Lewis & Bockius has acquired 11 lawyers from Howrey, including the managing partner of Howrey’s Chicago office, IP lawyer David Clough.

In Chicago, Morgan Lewis also picked up the chairman of Howrey’s consumer class-action defense group, Kenneth Kliebard, along with litigator Scott Schutte and two associates, according to The BLT: The Blog of Legal Times.

Morgan Lewis has also hired Howrey litigators Robert Gooding Jr. and Scott Garner and four associates in Irvine, Calif., the story says. Gooding was co-chair of Howrey’s securities litigation, government enforcement and white-collar crime practice.

In another lateral acquisition, Morgan Lewis hired Orrick labor and employment partner Ira Rosenstein to work in its New York office, according to the Philadelphia Business Journal.

Howrey’s latest departures follow a report that Winston & Strawn has offered to hire about three-quarters of Howrey’s partners.
