A tell-all e-book about reality television star Kate Gosselin has been removed from sale by Amazon after only a couple of days on the market.

The action followed a letter from entertainment law firm Lavely & Singer which asserted copyright infringement, reports the Daily Mail. Williams & Connolly also sent a cease-and-desist letter on behalf of Discovery Communications Inc.

Author Robert Hoffman based much of his book, Kate Gosselin: How She Fooled The World, on a computer hard drive that contained a treasure trove of personal information including contracts, photographs and tax records. Hoffman said he found the hard drive in the trash. He had covered Gosselin regularly as a freelance reporter for Us Weekly, when the TLC program Jon & Kate Plus 8 was at the height of its popularity.

In a letter to Hoffman, Amazon said it is investigating claims that material in the book “may not be properly authorized by the appropriate rights holder.”
