Night owl and early bird

This week, the Wall Street Journal (sub. req.) wrote about a number of professionals who start their days at 4 a.m.—or even earlier—to get the most out of their day.

Apple CEO Tim Cook starts his daily routine at 3:45 a.m., the newspaper reports. And entrepreneur and speaker Peter Shankman wakes up at 4 a.m., which allows him to make his 3-year-old daughter an omelet in the morning and go for 10-mile runs around Lower Manhattan twice per week.

And a few years ago, we noted the phenomenon of “midnight moms” who dive back into professional or household tasks into the wee hours of the morning, starting after their children go to bed.

So this week, we’d like to ask you: Are you a night owl or an early bird? Would you rather wake up very early or stay up late to finish all your tasks? When do you usually go to bed? When does your alarm go off in the morning?

Posted by Law Grad 2011: “I’d prefer Ruth Wilson, but I’ve gotten Darlene from Roseanne and Juliette Lewis from clients.”
