Ellen Has Her Own ‘Blawg’ After Being Banned From This Site

Great news for "Ellen Barshevsky" fans. The persona who was a frequent visitor to ABAJournal.com until reader complaints led to her being banned from the site yesterday has apparently started her own blog.
In the inaugural post, Ellen notes that she was forced to go off on her own after the ban and because her boyfriend "Alan" encouraged her to do so.
"My BOYFRIEND, and yes he is my boyfriend, says that I should do MORE blawgs on my own, so that is exactly what I am doing here," she writes.
Ellen was frequently the first to comment on ABAJournal.com posts, opining on all things legal and often sharing the opinions of her boyfriend, father and her managing partner. Her comments were riddled, seemingly on purpose, with spelling errors and random use of all caps.
We welcome Ellen to the blogsphere. Her blog was added to the ABA Journal's Blawg Directory this morning.

Actually, this is a great outcome, as it was often a comment of posters that Ellen should have her own blog. Now, Ellen can still speak to her fans and followers from her own (hot-pink) corner of Cyber-Heaven, and the readers annoyed by her need not go there.

I rather enjoyed her off base diatribes, but man, that random capitalization really annoyed me.

I thought she was a hot bot, meant to promote discussion. Perhaps she still is…

Ellen is a one-trick pony. At first, his/her posts were amusing. Then the amusing part was the response of commenters who took him/her seriously. Then it all just got old and tired.

You’ve got to be kidding—people who take blog comments seriously (especially seriously enough to complain and get another commenter off) just aren’t getting out of the office enough. Thanks at least for giving us the link to Ellen’s blawg—she’s great and the reaction to her a good example of how irony is beaten out of lawyers.

Molly, your IT folks could likely identify *Ellen* from the ISP address from which her/his comments were posted, even if she/he didn’t leave a valid email address. In fact, I assume that’s how you banned her/him.
For those above who think some great ironic comic has been censored and *claim* they won’t return, you’ve provided all the evidence needed that *Ellen* should have been banned long before. I, too, enjoyed her posts, for a time. It is not the point or purpose of the ABA Journal to provide a platform for a bored associate/frustrated comic to work their craft, or pass the time. Ellen can instead use her blog to connect with those who enjoy her special brand of inane commentary.

I just Googled ““Ellen Barshevsky” (copied spelling right from these ABA sites!) and found out who she REALLY is.
She’s the Anti-Christ!!!!! Precisely 666 results.
Be afraid. Be very afraid.
