An ex-associate at a New York law firm who alleged she was sexually harassed by her former employer, in a lawsuit that provided graphic details, has won a jury verdict, but it may not be the award that Alexandra Marchuk had hoped for.

Her federal employment discrimination suit had sought $2 million. On Thursday a Manhattan jury found Faruqi & Faruqi and partner Juan Monteverde partially liable for creating a hostile work environment and awarded $90,000, plus punitive damages in an amount that has not yet been determined, reports Law 360 (reg. req.).

The judge overseeing the case earlier dismissed defamation and retaliation claims, as well as all counts against two other law firm partners, the New York Law Journal (sub. req.) reported at the time.
