Socialite Paris Hilton’s younger brother was a no-show Monday at his Indio, California, arraignment in a felony driving case.

However, the judge agreed not to enforce a bench warrant against Conrad Hughes Hilton, 21, so long as he shows up for a rescheduled hearing in September, the Palm Desert Patch reports.

Citing undisclosed reasons provided for the hotel heir’s absence by his lawyer, Richard Hutton, Superior Court Judge Dale Wells agreed to hold a bench warrant in abeyance. However, the judge OK’d a request by prosecutors to raise the bond that will apply, if it is later enforced, from $100,000 to $500,000, according to KESQ.

At issue in the case is an August 2014 high-speed pursuit on Interstate 10 in Southern California that ended when Hilton crashed his car into a big rig. He was charged with felony reckless evasion of a peace officer in the Riverside County case.
