New Microsoft law office management platform offers group access to legal docs on any device
A new law office management platform developed by the in-house legal department of Microsoft for its own use was worth the wait, a law blogger says.
With the formal announcement today that the company has begun to roll out its Matter Center for Office 365 for general law firm use, those with Office 365 and Azure subscriptions can look forward to 24/7 access to matters and legal documents anywhere, across all electronic devices, writes Robert Ambrogi on Law Sites.
The platform permits real-time collaborative work by multiple users, including co-workers and/or clients, among other features. Security controls allow selectivity about who can view and edit documents.
