An Oklahoma City attorney has been arrested and is accused of robbing the same pharmacy three times yesterday in the course of 11 minutes.
Police say 50-year-old Robert Behlen, a civil litigator who lives in Edmond, robbed the drugstore of painkillers at gunpoint in one of these incidents, escaped in his Lincoln Navigator and led police on a chase before he was arrested, after being Tasered, at his home, according to the Oklahoman (reg. req.), the Edmond Sun and a local ABC News-affiliated television station. Police say he swallowed a handful of painkillers before exiting the pharmacy.
An Associated Press story today says police allege that Behlen committed three robberies at the pharmacy within an 11-minute period. He has reportedly been charged with armed robbery, kidnapping and pointing a firearm.
He practices with Behlen, Bentwood and Luther in Oklahoma City, and a representative from the Oklahoma Bar Association told the ABC affiliate that he is an active member in good standing.
