Another $2.9M in Law Fees OK'd in Heller Bankruptcy While Employees Wait on $6M
A bankruptcy court judge from the Northern District of California has approved another $2.9 million in fees for work done on the Heller Ehrman bankruptcy in the last five months of 2009.
Pachulski Stang Ziel & Jones, which represents the estate, collected $800,000; Lovitt & Hannan, which is investigating who to sue, got $670,000, and Felderstein, Fitzgerald, Willoughby and Pascuzzi, which represents the creditors’ committee, took home $373,955, reports the Recorder in an article reprinted in New York Lawyer (reg. req.).
Heller Ehrman dissolved and filed for bankruptcy in 2008. Employees were supposed to receive $6 million by Christmas 2009, the Recorder said. Now lawyers are saying that employees will get their money by the end of July 2010, Heller Highwater reported last month.
