A building housing a Chinese restaurant in Albany, N.Y., may soon be sporting a plaque noting a famous onetime tenant: the late U.S. Supreme Court Justice Robert H. Jackson.

The former chief U.S. prosecutor of Nazi war criminals at Nuremberg was a struggling 19-year-old law student in 1911 when he lived in the building on Lark Street, the Albany Times Union reports. Now officials at the school have agreed to help pay for a plaque as part of its yearlong Jackson centennial celebration.

Jackson scholar John Q. Barrett of St. John’s University law school mentioned the lack of a marker during a panel discussion last week, leading to “a swirl of behind-the-scenes activity with civic leaders and the law school,” the story says.

The three-story building where Jackson lived now houses the Amazing Wok and four apartments. The owner of the restaurant and building is Danny Yeung. When asked about the famous resident, Yeung told the newspaper, “This is the first I heard of it.” He added that he would be happy to support putting the plaque on the building.
