Things have gone from bad to worse for a New York lawyer scheduled to begin a pro se criminal trial today on charges that he schemed to scam families seeking a baby to adopt.

Already jailed in lieu of $500,000 bail in the Nassau County adoption case, Kevin Cohen allegedly attacked a guard who told him to stop hogging the only copy machine in the law library there and let other inmates have a turn, the New York Law Journal reported.

He is now facing additional charges of assault and obstructing governmental administration.

A Long Island Press article provides further details.
