LaBeouf to Star in John Grisham Legal Thriller

Those with a hunger for anything BigLaw-related will be excited to know that Paramount Pictures has set Shia LaBeouf in the title role of John Grisham's forthcoming legal thriller The Associate.

LaBeouf will play 3L at Yale Law School who is manipulated into accepting a job at a prestigious law firm and given privileged information about a multibillion-dollar lawsuit, Variety reports.

Grisham's novel will be published in January by Random House.

Producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura, who worked on Grisham films A Time to Kill and The Client, is set to produce the movie version, Variety reports.
