Motley Crue singer Vince Neil has agreed to serve two weeks in jail for driving his Lamborghini under the influence in Las Vegas last summer.

That will be followed by another two weeks of house arrest, reports the Associated Press.

“I have recognized that you can’t drink and drive at all,” says the 49-year-old Neil in a written statement released by his publicist.

Less than a week before his arrest in June the heavy metal rocker had publicly announced he no longer abused alcohol and had stopped doing drugs 20 years earlier.

Neil also pleaded guilty, many years ago, to drunken driving and manslaughter in a 1984 fatal crash in California that killed a passenger in his vehicle. He served 20 days and agreed to pay $2.5 million in restitution in that case.

He is represented by attorney David Chesnoff in the current Clark County, Nev., case, reports the Las Vegas Review-Journal, which provides additional details about Neil’s arrest in June.
