Suit says co-workers shocked employee with stun gun dozens of times and posted videos on YouTube
A fired employee at a Houston car dealership claims in a lawsuit that his co-workers shocked him with a Taser dozens of times in his last nine months on the job, and some of the incidents were taped and posted on YouTube.
Bradley Jones, 45, claimed his boss at Fred Fincher Motors in Houston provided the Taser and sometimes held the camera, KHOU reports.
“I was constantly looking behind my shoulder, distracted, couldn’t sleep,” Jones told KHOU. “I would even look behind my shower curtain at home.” He said he didn’t quit because he needed the job.
Jones’ boss is Sam Harless, general manager of the dealership. He told KHOU he knew nothing about the Taser incidents. “I’m just happy that I’m an American and I’m in a country where the justice system works,” Harless said. “This is a frivolous lawsuit—once the facts come out, it will be thrown out.”
Harless withdrew from a race for the state senate in July, just weeks after announcing his candidacy, according to the Houston Chronicle blog Texas Politics. He said he was withdrawing because party leaders endorsed a different candidate. Harless’ wife is a state representative.
