Domestic worker Agnes Cybulska claims in a lawsuit that an heir to the Annenberg fortune violated New York City’s human rights law by asking her to submit to an HIV test.

Cybulska answered an ad requesting an “experienced executive Polish housekeeper” who would be earning $1,000 a week working for heiress Dana Hammond, the New York Times reports. Cybulska claims she learned during the interview that the actual pay would be $150 a day for nine hours of work. There would be no overtime, no benefits and no paid vacation.

During a follow-up interview, Cybulska alleges, Hammond said Cybulska would have to pass an HIV test, a requirement for all her staffers. Cybulska sued, naming as defendants both Hammond and the employment agency she used, Domestic Job Picks.

The Times says Hammond’s lawyer, William Zabel of Schulte Roth & Zabel, did not return a call for comment.
