The blogger who was originally charged with a felony for posting nine unreleased Guns N’ Roses songs on his website probably won’t go to prison.

Blogger Kevin Cogill of Culver City, Calif., was charged under a 2005 federal anti-piracy law. He has reached a plea agreement that calls for probation rather than jail time, Cogill’s lawyer David Kaloyanides told Wired.

Cogill kept the songs on his music blog for only a few hours until the band’s lawyers complained, then he made them available for streaming only, according to previous reports.

Kaloyanides did not say whether Cogill will disclose where he got the songs. “We have agreed in a very limited fashion to provide information,” Kaloyanides told Wired. “We’re still working with the government.”
