President Obama has received a summons for jury duty at his home in Chicago, but the former law professor won’t be able to make it.

Obama told court officials weeks ago that he won’t be able to serve, an administration official told the Chicago Tribune and the Associated Press. He is busy finalizing his State of the Union address to be delivered on Wednesday.

Jury duty for Obama was scheduled to begin today in the Chicago suburb of Bridgeview, the stories say.
