An employment tribunal in the United Kingdom has ruled against a former DLA Piper partner who claimed the law firm was “an old boys’ club” that fired her because she was pregnant.

DLA Piper has received notice that the Liverpool tribunal unanimously dismissed all of the claims by former partner Sarah Sweeney, according to a press release.

DLA Piper had claimed Sweeney was fired in a cost-cutting effort. “We are satisfied with the judgment and feel that our position has been completely vindicated,” the law firm said in a statement. “We were disappointed that the claim was brought in the first place.”
